Life Safety Award presented to six-year-old

A six year old kindergarten girl was presented with a Life Safety Award by village EMS and Police Department personnel at the beginning of the Baldwin Village Board’s regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, January 13. Rhyan Nichols was presented with the award for being able to correctly relay her address and medical history of her mother to 911 personnel after her mother suffered a medical issue that precluded her from summoning assistance. Rhyan is a student at Baldwin Christian School and had practiced providing emergency information at school.
