Middle School students read to Ole the dog

At the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year, students in Mrs. Malecek’s class at St. Croix Central Middle School in Hammond started reading to Ole. Ole is a miniature Schnauzer owned by Gary and Julie Peterson of Roberts. Why are students reading to a dog? Well, Ole isn’t just any dog, he’s a trained therapy…
